KABA: Multi-page site + bookings

Visit site ↗

01

The project

KABA started without a website. The entire salon operated through WhatsApp and Instagram: clients messaged the profile, asked prices one by one, sent reference photos via direct message, and appointments were confirmed in conversations that no one could find later. There was no dedicated place to view services, the team's actual work, or an organized way to book appointments. The task was to build that digital home from scratch: a custom site that looked like the salon inside and turned scattered conversations into a clear process.

02

The problem

Relying solely on messaging has three accumulating costs. First is time: answering the same prices and schedules multiple times a day while attending someone in the chair. Second is lost clients: if they don’t get a quick reply, they message the next salon, and that sale is gone. Third is brand perception: an Instagram profile with photos doesn’t communicate expertise, technique, or the diagnosis KABA does before touching hair. Plus, the schedule lived only in the owner’s head and loose notes, so double bookings and forgotten appointments were inevitable.

03

What we did

We designed and developed the site in Next.js with a unique art direction in cream, ink, and gold, editorial typography, and an opening video, crafted to make the brand feel premium without saying it. The narrative flows through sections: the salon’s manifesto, services with duration and pricing logic, step-by-step diagnosis process, gallery of real work with zoom viewer, the founder’s voice, and the visit. On top of that, we built a real booking system connected to Supabase: services load from the database, the site calculates available time blocks for the chosen service and day, and bookings confirm instantly with just a name and phone number. If someone takes that slot while the client is filling out details, the system detects it, alerts the user, and refreshes available times instead of double-booking. Upon confirmation, clients can notify via WhatsApp with a pre-written message. Behind the scenes, a booking panel lets the salon view confirmed and canceled appointments by day and time in Santiago time, and cancel appointments without messaging anyone or checking chat history.

04

The outcome

KABA went from existing only on Instagram to having its own site that works while the salon is busy. Prices and services are explained once and available 24/7, appointments book themselves anytime without anyone answering messages, and the schedule no longer lives in the owner’s memory. The brand now presents itself with the same care it applies technically, and the team has a place to see the full day before opening.

The problem

Most SME websites in Chile are just the same template with a different color.

They load slowly, can’t be edited without extra fees, don’t show up on Google, and no one knows who maintains them. Automating a poorly designed process only makes the problem happen faster.

Mario Ovalle

One person responsible from the first conversation through to operation.

When something breaks in the middle of the night, the phone that rings is mine.

Átomo Studio isn’t a layered agency. I’m the one who diagnoses, designs the experience, writes the code, and gets the system running. When you hire me, you know exactly who’s accountable: the same person from the first conversation to daily operation.

I’m Chilean and French. Fourteen years ago, I came to Chile to reconnect with my roots and meet family I hadn’t known. I worked as a French teacher and later at the airport, surrounded by passengers and teams who had to adapt daily to confusing systems.

That’s where it all started. Seeing so many people waste time because they didn’t understand the system pushed me to find a solution for passengers: first information, then sketches, and finally software. I’ve been building products for a year, but I arrived here with years of experience observing how people work, communicate, and deal with poorly designed processes.

That’s why I don’t start by asking what technology you want. I start by understanding where people get stuck. And there’s one difference that matters more than any tech stack: I don’t just deliver software. I operate it. Every day.

Delivering isn’t the same as operating

Most studios hand over a ZIP file and disappear. The problem shows up three months later when no one knows where the server lives.

A developer who only delivers makes decisions they’ll never pay for. They pick the easiest architecture to code, not the cheapest to maintain. They leave certificates expired, databases unbacked, logs unrotated—because by the time it all blows up, they’ve been paid and are gone.

I make those same decisions knowing I’ll be the one supporting them. That’s the difference between a vendor and a technical partner, and you see it in year two, not week one.

What I have running right now

This isn’t a portfolio of screenshots. It’s live infrastructure that I set up, monitor, and fix. If I can operate mine, I can operate yours.

What I don’t do

I prefer to say it before the first meeting. If you’re looking for any of this, there are studios that do it better and cheaper than me.

I don’t work with WordPress or builders

Neither for new projects nor to rescue existing ones. It’s a technical choice, not a bias.

I don’t quote without diagnosis

A price given over the phone is a guess. First I understand the problem, then I put the number in writing.

I don’t subcontract the core of the project

I write the architecture and code that support your business. It’s the only way I can be accountable for them later.

Own products

I build and maintain my own tools to handle operations usually left out of a website: coordinating projects, managing content, connecting channels, and knowing what’s happening.

Geo App

Control panel for projects, agents, memory, tasks, and automations. Turns scattered information into decisions and traceable work.

Sitio Control

Android app, backend, and web panel to manage products, inventory, and field operations without relying on loose spreadsheets.

Hermes

Agent bridge for WhatsApp and Telegram, with memory, business rules, and operational alerts. Lets you chat with a system without losing context.

You talk to me, not a sales rep.

Tell me what’s holding your company back. If I can fix it, I’ll tell you how and how much. If I can’t, I’ll tell you who can.

Thank you. We’ll respond within 24 business hours.
